We May Be Worlds Apart Sometimes



By accident starting Jan 21st I became a teacher to my parent’s neighbour son. My Dad has been teaching him Math but on that particular day my Dad was out. I asked the boy to come into the house and I told him I would be teaching him English. He said OK and he went back to take his English book. 

Since then he would come to the house for about 1 hour ish for English class with me.

Izzat is a 9 year old boy. I really like him because of his determination and commitment to learn English. We have been having class every day since Jan 21st. So basically he has been with me for 11 days now. 

I made the initiative to buy books and exercise books for Izzat. Every day I make sure he learns new words. He needs to read more and increase his vocabulary. He didn’t even know what ‘fast’ means. By now he would have learnt more than 30 words and good news is he remembers all of them! Just that he needs to improve In pronouncing few words - very minor mistake though.

Izzat has been doing the reading exercise when he is with me. One day he asked me if he could borrow the book so he can read it at home too! See ... he is one fine boy! 

Due to his great attitude towards learning,  every day after class I will give him treats. 

And to make it more fun I incorporate singing and playing online games too. 

Today I received a bouquet of chocolates and Hello Kitty clock from Izzat! God bless him! 

As I will be going back to KL, I told him he will have few days break!

PS - I spoke too soon! Semalam I slept for like 3 hours only. After going for a wee, I couldn’t sleep no more! Even after that tepuk my tummy! Grrrrrr

This Is The Time!

Dah lama sangat I have not been updating on here. Dah lah I don't have any other social media so some of you dah tak boleh tengok what's been going with me and Id. But wait, I do have an Instagram account just for my personal use with family as followers. I think I have 11 followers. That's enough and please do not ask for permission to add me. Nothing much is there I only update on IGS and it's all about Id. Siapa lagi kan? The program I attended ended in Nov last year. It's more like preparation for going back to work. 23 of us, that were out of work for more than a year. A lady was out of work for more than 15 years. They could be because taking care of kids or laid off or just like me contract ended and was not renewed. For 9 weeks I was travelling Kedah - KL every week.
