Don’t Be Afraid To Show Your True Colours

Good Morning !

It's time to share with you about my work pulak ! After I quit big E, I did look around for job and I even had interview with big J but didn't go through. Then I got pregnant and decided to just have a good rest during my pregnancy ... My first trimester was not bad just that I wanted to sleep and sleep ... That's all I wanted to do. It's a good sign too that I needed rest.

During my pregnancy, big J from another department reached out to me for a position that they are creating in Malaysia. I told them I was pregnant and they could wait. I had chats with them and with their boss too. It all went well. They seem happy to have me and could wait for me to deliver.

After a month I delivered Id, I contacted big J again and they said yeah the position is still open and now one is filling it up. I told them I'd be ready to be back joining workforce and he said he would be checking at his end. Till now I have not hear from them. 

These are few of the 14 boxes that I had to send via Pos Laju. I had so many stuff back in Kedah. Gifts and things I bought etc etc. Total cost MYR 300 ish. 

So back to my kerja story. I had great 2 months being a new mum! I wasn't really looking after I reach out to big J. Macam dok ada high hope juga that I'd be joining them.

Then Shamsul (ex colleague from big M) told me there will be an opening soon in his department, in big C. He asked for my CV and I gave him. Within few days, his boss (Baharin) requested for Zoom meeting. I knew him when I was in big C. He is still there. We had like 1 hour session of him telling me his expectation and getting to know my experience after I left big C. 

At around the same time, my ex Boss from big M (Kamal) contacted me. There's an opportunity for there he said. He arranged for interview with him and HR. It was like an hour session. After that, if they like me, I had to go for another round of interview with his Boss. 

Baharin contacted me that I need to have a chat with this guy Daud, who will be my dotted line reporting in Hong Kong. Within 2 days I had a chat with him. Senang gila dengan Daud nie. Sembang pasai personal matters pun, dia baru pindah from Australia to Hong Kong. I told him about Id etc. He said he wanted to have a chat with me so that he knows I can talk ... and I tambah laugh. Hah kan senang sembang macam tu for 15 mins saja. Tak tanya your strength lah apa lah bagai ... bagi masalah and suruh solve lah ... Lega gila. So basically from there I knew Daud suka I lah kan ... Chewah perasan! Hahah

But true enough memang I got the job. It's actually a year contract and most likely boleh masuk as permanent after that. Daud pun cakap. So we shall see. Alhamdulillah. Gaji naik sikit from what I got from big E. Sebab I kata Id tak ada insurance since under contract. Oh another reason is because local working hours. Both Daud and Baharin dah tau I have Id and I would be sending him to school. So they know my situation. 

I then informed Kamal that I accepted big C offer. He said as a friend better take that up because if it's the company he is working, process might take longer. Grab whatever you have in hand first. So yeah he understand that. 

As a contract staff I am only entitle to 12 days cuti.Gila sikit. Medical is covered but I need to check how much. And I have to submit time sheet on a monthly basis. Letak lah time in and out etc. For me its OK saja. Semua nie rezeki kan Alhamdulillah. 

I started work Sep 3rd, Jumaat. We left for KL from Jitra on Aug 30th. Sep 3rd, I had to go to office to pick up the laptop. Since then Id been working from home. There are people I know from big C that are still there. Clients pun. Oh this job is similar to account manager role. Jaga clients, front office job. Selama nie I dok kerja operations saja. So far so good. Cuma tak banyak lagi lah kerja sangat ....Shamsul pulak busy bila I tanya ada apa apa nak tolong. So tunggu saja lah .... Tu yang sempat nak tulis blog bagai.

Esok saya nak bawa Id ke rumah my friend W. Tidoq sana. And yesterday I registered Id for swimming class, which will start on Oct 2nd. Kita tengok macam mana dia suka ka dak.
