Someday My Prince Will Come

Let's talk about Id's school!!! 

I knew that I would be going back to work after the delivery and I knew I would be handling Id just by myself. So I had to find a good arrangement for both of us. During my pregnancy when I was in Kedah I started to look out for nursery or day care. Then I found a few of schools that allow infant as young as 2 months. 

I started making calls and asked for details, even Id was not out as yet! Hahaha. So when they asked me how old is my baby, I would tell them that I am still pregnant but I am doing some work around to look for a place for him when he is out. Basically the fees for all the schools are almost the same. Range from MYR1,300 to MYR1,900 a month.

So basically at that point of time I knew that I had 3 choices and these places are near to where I live, in fact they are all in the same building. 

Id's first day. Second day onwards I only bring 1 school bag.

My preparation was crazy too LOL. I had these ready for his school. I sticked them on his bottles and other stuff. 

Back to my story. After the delivery, I was approached by 2 people. My ex colleague from big M and my ex Boss from big M. Both telling me that there's opportunity for me. Went for the interviews and decided to join big C, where  my ex colleague from big M is. (OK, will tell in next entry about work pulak hahaha)

So when I was almost confirm to get the job with big C, I started to contact those 3 schools that I short listed before. Then, made the decision to go with school CC. They did video call and showed me and my sister the inside of the school. I could go and visit the school but I was in Kedah and we could only do that on Saturday which we could not make it. Once confirmed, I paid the fees etc and then it's sorted! 

I got the offer letter from big C few days before Sept. So we were pretty rushing to pack etc. My joining date was on Sep 3rd so I decided to send Id to school on Sep 1st - so I was still around should anything happen in school. 

We left Jitra for KL on Aug 30th. We had a good one day rest on Aug 31st. On the first school day me and Kakak sent him. Id was alright when we passed him to his teacher. I did not even cry. I felt relief that I knew that I had a place safe to send him. 

He was cranky teacher told me. He didn't want to sleep and forced himself to be awake. Then he became cranky. He does the same thing at home. So that's fine with me! LOL. As a new student, the school will send us daily report of his activities together with photos and videos, for 2 weeks. On a daily basis, I'd be looking forward for that kinda report.

The lady doing the report is not good in English. I am OK with it. She is trained in child care not English major. But yeah everyday they will have different kind of activities for him. And it's proven when I sent Id for his monthly check up with his new paed. She could tell that Id has been doing exercises for his arms and legs etc .... All good ey!

The school requires us to prepare 5 sets of clothing daily, which include his night suit. Petang dah salin pakai baju tidoq. So senang juga hidup I. And 3 bottles. Mattress cover for his cot. I had to purchase new mattress. Towel. Id's formula. In advance I had given the school diapers and his toiletries. 

On a daily basis, school will have this report card in Id's bag. And they will inform if I need to provide extra small towels etc .... 

On second day, I did a trial run. I sent Id to school by myself. Put him in a car seat and sent him off. He was doing fine in the car seat. After a while I started to notice that Id doesn't like it when the car stops. He wants it always on the move! Hahaha Funny! But honestly most of the time Id will be sleeping in the car seat, either on the way to school or back from school! 

So there you go, story of Id's school! Panjang gila! I am happy with the school. Oh yeah now, now that I don't get the daily report from the school, they send it via Ding Talk, twice a week. Id's report and his photos.
