Doctor's Visit
Today, we took Id to his annual appointment with the Paediatrician for his influenza vaccine. We've been getting him vaccinated for that since he turned 6 months old.
I made sure to inform Id about the doctor's appointment a day in advance. I started to share the plan for the day and usually he accepts it well.
This morning, he was all ready to see the doctor. While driving, I reminded him to greet Doctor H with a cheerful "Hi, Doctor H. How are you?" We even practiced it a few times. A bit over the top kan? LOL
When Id entered the doctor's room, he confidently greeted the doctor and sat next to her. Doctor H was pleased to see him, and Id remained calm as the doctor examined his body and throat. Though, he couldn't resist checking out the toys the doctor had in the room!
Id shed a few tears when he received the shot, but he quickly regained his composure. He was as brave as Muhammad, a character in one of his favourite books.
Id now weighs 15kg and stands 96cm tall. Alhamdulillah, he's a healthy boy.
To celebrate his bravery, I treated Id to some Blue Ice Cream at BR. He definitely deserved it!
With love,
Mother to Id
